Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space hosts Bark at the Water Park every year on the last day the water park is open for the season. Friendly, social dogs are invited to enjoy a day of splashing around among the park’s many cool water features.
Contests will be held for best swimwear, coolest dog and biggest smile.
All dogs must be sociable and friendly, leashed and current on all vaccinations, including rabies. The event has a limit of two dogs per person.
Bark at the Water Park will be held at Melio Gaspari Water Play Park at Lazy 5 Regional Park, 7100 Pyramid Way, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dog contests begin at 2 p.m. Cost is $3 per person; dogs are free.
