RENO — Reno Police Homicide detectives have arrested Timothy Morgan for the murder of Eric Preimesberger. Eric's wife and Morgan’s sister, Kristi Preimesberger, has also been arrested on a material witness warrant.
Both were being held in Roseville, Minn. on unrelated charges when Reno detectives traveled there to interview them about the suspicious disappearance of Eric. After the interviews with Reno police, both were arrested.
Eric was reported missing by his mother on May 19. Kristi was then questioned by police and reported that Eric had left their home on foot after a heated argument on April 24. She said she had not heard from him since. Eight days after Eric's disappearance Kristi moved to Oregon with their two small children and her brother, Morgan. Detectives had tried to interview Kristi and Morgan numerous times over the past three months with no cooperation. Detectives have worked closely with Oregon and Minnesota authorities.
Morgan is being held on a $1 million cash-only warrant for murder with the use of a deadly weapon and Kristi is being held on a $100,000 warrant for being a material witness.
The investigation is ongoing and Reno police detectives are asking that anyone with information related to this case please contact the Detective Division at 334-2188 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
