RENO — On Saturday, Marie Callender’s will host a Dine Out event to benefit the animals at Nevada Humane Society.

People can help homeless pets by enjoying a meal at Marie Callender’s restaurant located at 6365 S. McCarran Blvd. in Reno anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday. Fifteen percent of the meal’s proceeds will benefit the homeless pets at Nevada Humane Society.

In addition, people can adopt a lovable dog or cute kitten from Nevada Humane Society’s Mobile Adoption Van from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

“We truly appreciate the wonderful folks at Marie Callender’s for helping to save homeless pets in our community,” said Bonney Brown, executive director of Nevada Humane Society.

Nevada Humane Society is located at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno and is open for pet adoptions Sunday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 856-2000, ext. 335 or email info@nevadahumanesociety.org.
