Frye is a former professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. A practicing psychiatrist, he received his medical degree from George Washington University and served two years in the Army with the 10th Special Forces. He is an outspoken advocate of drug legalization, which he believes will reduce America’s prison population, save billions of dollars that are now going to Mexican cartels and leading to the possible destabilization of the Mexican government, reduce the number of teen gangs and provide a major economic boost to the U.S. Treasury.
Gammick, an avid foe of the legalization or even decriminalization of drugs, will provide a counter-viewpoint to Frye’s presentation. Gammick, a McGeorge Law School graduate and former police officer and Army combat veteran, has served 15 years as a district attorney.
The presentation will take place Friday at 9 a.m. at the Siena Ballroom, 1 Lake St. Admission is limited and costs $15 (includes breakfast). RSVP to 746-3222 or e-mail twcobb@aol.com to attend.
