RENO — The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, with help from its volunteer programs, will conduct a “Knock-N-Lock” community outreach and information exchange on Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. The outreach will provide the residents in Caughlin Ranch information on crime trends.

The sheriff’s office teams will be contacting residents with burglary prevention tips and information for reporting suspicious activities. The sheriff’s office encourages all residents who have seen or heard suspicious activities to contact law enforcement as this information could help solve previously reported cases.

Washoe County Search and Rescue Deputy Don Patch will be the event commander of the Knock-N-Lock outreach. Patch can be reached at 742-3354.

All assigned members will be clearly identifiable. All personnel will wear their appropriate uniform, which will include a reflective vest.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office encourages its residents to take a few minutes to take note of the information being delivered on Sunday.

Report suspicious people, activities and crimes immediately by calling 334-COPS or dialing 911 in case of emergency.
