Victims named in fatal accident

LOVELOCK — The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the people killed in a Tuesday morning rollover accident about 17 miles east of Lovelock.

At about 9:30 a.m., Mohammad Hussein Rashidy, a 49-year-old resident of Calgary, Canada, lost control of his Nissan Pathfinder when the tread separated from the left rear tire.

The Nissan drove off the right side of the roadway and rolled. Both Rashidy and his wife, 45-year-old Sadaf Rashidy, were wearing seat belts. The three children sitting in the rear seat were not seat belted and were ejected from the car. Fifteen-year-old female passenger Zahra Rashidy was killed. Eighteen-year-old female Nilab Rashidy, 11-year-old male Sajjad Rashidy and their parents were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center by Care Flight.

According to family, the Rashidys were traveling to California to attend a wedding.
