An artist's rendering illustrates plans for the Legends at the Sparks Marina project.
The $1 billion development being built along Interstate 80 near the Sparks Marina will include both a Hilton Garden Inn and a Marriott Residence Inn.
Legends at Sparks Marina developers said they expect construction to take about nine months and the two hotels to open in the second quarter of 2009.
The developers say hotel chains locate where there will be a lot of demand and the development is expected to lure 10 to 12 million visitors a year.
Scheels sporting goods store, Target and other parts of the Legends mall are scheduled to open in October.
