SPARKS – The Sparks Fire Department recently held a golf fundraiser at D’Andrea Golf Club to raise funds for its Project SAFE Residential Smoke Alarm Program. The golf fundraiser was a huge success, bringing in $8,500 for the program. The funds will be used to purchase more 10-year smoke alarms, 10-year lithium batteries, fire prevention educational paraphernalia and other items related to the program.

The Sparks Fire Department would like to give a sincere thanks to all of the individuals and businesses that sponsored and/or donated items to the fundraiser. The department also would like to thank D’Andrea Golf Club for hosting the event and their outstanding customer service. Also, a big thanks to the people who volunteered their time before, during and after the event. Last, but not least, the department thanks all of the golfers who played and supported the event by purchasing raffle, silent auction and contest tickets.
