“Having a farmer’s market in south Reno provides people a more convenient venue to purchase fresh produce for their weekend activities,” said Larry Hunt, senior general manager at The Summit. “Shoppers will benefit from a vast selection of market vendors. Plus, there will be great offers and promotions from stores at The Summit.”
Several farmers attending the market are part of other markets in northern Nevada, however The Summit market will introduce some exclusive vendor additions. Among the products available at this market will be fresh produce, specialty packaged foods, bakery items, home and garden theme arts and crafts and flowers. The early part of the season features stone fruit such as peaches, nectarines and apricots, while tomatoes, corn and other popular produce items will arrive at the market in July.
The Summit is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Mt. Rose Highway.
