CARSON CITY — The public is invited to join the military in celebrating and paying respect to the United States’ flag in the annual Nevada National Guard Flag Day Ceremony set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Memorial Wall located within the State Capitol complex in Carson City. The ceremony will also pay tribute to the 235th birthday of the U.S. Army.
Brig. Gen. William Burks, adjutant general for Nevada, will be the guest speaker for the ceremony and the event will feature an historic five-flag ceremony performed by the Nevada Air National Guard’s Non-commissioned Officer Academy Graduate Association. Birthday cake will also be available.
The event is free and open to the public.
