Reno police, FBI seek bank robbery suspect

RENO — On Friday at about 2:30 p.m., officers from the Reno Police Department and agents from the local office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to the report of a robbery at the U.S. Bank at 5190 Neil Road in Reno. 

Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect entered the bank and approached an open teller.  The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. 

The suspect then fled eastbound on foot with an undetermined amount of money. 

The suspect was not apprehended after an exhaustive search by Reno Police Department patrol officers and agents from the Reno office of the FBI.  The Reno Police Department and the FBI are working the case together and are asking for the public's help with information about the possible suspect. 

The suspect is described as a white male adult, mid-to early 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 160 pounds, last seen wearing a grey-colored tweed golfer's hat, dark sunglasses, light blue shirt, dark blue jeans and dark- colored sneakers.
