“With the Thanksgiving holidays approaching, many families will have extra time off. What a great time to adopt a new cat and dog and what a great way to spend quality family time, bonding with a new pet and each other,” said Diane Blankenburg, Community Programs Director for the Nevada Humane Society.
At the same time, the Nevada Humane Society continues to host its Pet Food Drive through Wednesday.
“The generosity of our community has been amazing," said operations director Denise Stevens. “The food is being used to help people who cannot afford to feed their pets during these tough economic times. The greatest need at this time is for cat food.”
