SPARKS — A fight on Friday night has left a man badly beaten and police seeking answers.

On Friday at 10:46 p.m., Sparks police dispatch received calls of a large fight in the 1600 block of Merchant Street.  Callers said there was a large group and that there were "various" weapons being used, including baseball bats.  When officers arrived they found a man who was nearly unconscious with injuries. Emergency crews took him to the hospital but the extent of the injuries was unknown when police issued a statement early Saturday.

Several involved parties were located and interviewed, but no arrests have been made. The Sparks Police Department is asking that anyone who witnessed the fight to call 353-2231 with information.
