Once again, Cougars senior Sullivan Stevens led the way for the Spanish Springs boys tracksters, winning both the 110m and 300m hurdles events at Rocklin High School in California Saturday.

While the Cougars were far back of first place, their 36 points as a team placed them in the top three. The girls scored 30 points, good enough for sixth place.

Stevens also took sixth in the 100-meter dash, while teammate Justus Mora was second in the same event. It was the first time Mora has lost in the 100m this year.

Josh Briggs broke the school records for the 800m and 1600m Saturday as he placed fourth and sixth in those respective events.

Another school record crumbled when Jake Flemming took sixth in the 3200m during the freshman/sophomore competition.

On the girls side, Laura Voss turned in the best performance for the Cougars. She won the 300m hurdles and was second in the 200m.

Anna Preciado had another stellar day as she broke the school records for the 800m and 1600m and placed fifth in both races.

Ari James was fifth in the 100m and was part of the 4x100m relay team that took third along with Jessica Fralick, Rachel Martin and Chalene Lair.
