RENO –– On April 1, while investigating a recent kidnapping and open and gross lewdness case, detectives assigned to the Reno Police Department sex crimes/child abuse unit located an Alejandro Vuarez, 27, in the area of Peckham and Neil Road.

The detectives were attempting to talk to Vuarez about his possible involvement in the kidnapping and open and gross lewdness case when they found that he had an outstanding 2009 warrant for indecent exposure.

The indecent exposure warrant was for Vuarez’s failure to appear in court and was the result of an indecent exposure arrest at the Virginia Lake playground area on Oct. 22, 2009.

The investigation into Vuarez’s possible connection to any other unsolved cases is still on going.

Anyone with information regarding the possible criminal activity of Vuarez is asked to contact the Reno Police Department at 785-8605 or Secret Witness at 322-4900. Vuarez also goes by the name Alejandro Juarez-Perez.

Vuarez was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility with a $5,000 cash-only bail.
