The Cougars took a 29-20 lead into halftime, but Mira Loma scored the first bucket of the second half to get within seven, 29-22.
Spanish Springs instituted a full-court press and blew past the Sacramento school, going up by 18 points on a Kelly Hernandez layup with 1:30 to play in the third.
Mira Loma couldn't get the deficit lower than 13 points the rest of the way.
Ari James and Hernandez both tallied 10 points in the highest scoring output by the Cougars this season. James also had seven rebounds.
Jessica Fralick had nine points and six assists, while Sam Owens also handed out six assists to go with seven points. Ten different Cougars found the scoring column.
Spanish Springs went 2-2 at the tournament to move to 9-6 overall and will be at Hug Tuesday night in a league clash.
"I think it was good for us. We played some good teams and faced some challenges, which should be good for us," SSHS girls basketball coach Christine Eckles said. "It's real important heading into league to feel good about yourself."
