Exhibits, movie nights extended at Automobile Museum

RENO — Downtown Reno’s National Automobile Museum, The Harrah Collection, Masterpiece Exhibit “Movie Cars: Cinematic Cars on Wheels,” and “On the Road with Alice Ramsey: 100 Years Ago” in the Changing Exhibits Gallery, have been extended through mid-March 2010.

In addition, movie nights at the museum on the last Thursday of the month have also been extended. The final movie in the series will air on March 25, 2010.

Three additional films have been added to the movie nights series:

Jan. 28: "Bullitt" starring Steve McQueen and Jacqueline Bisset

Feb. 25: "Rebel Without a Cause," starring James Dean and Natalie Wood

March 25: "The Italian Job," starring Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg

Movie Nights at the Museum start at 5:30 p.m. to provide plenty of time to enjoy the automobile collection before the movie starts at 7 p.m. Movie Night admission is $10.

Parking is free in the National Automobile Museum lot on the corner of Mill and Lake Streets.
