RENO — A 26-year-old Reno man, found guilty on four counts of local graffiti vandalism in 2008 and who was given a suspended sentence at the time, has been sentenced to two years in the Washoe County Jail following a series of incidents since his conviction.

Reno Municipal Judge Paul Hickman last week sentenced Joseph Earl Haas to 180 days in jail for each of the four counts of graffiti, with the sentence to be carried out consecutively.

Haas received the two-year suspended sentence for graffiti vandalism in August 2008. In June he was arrested in Sparks for driving under the influence, violating the conditions of his suspended sentence. In September, he was sentenced to a drug rehabilitation program and 30 days in jail, but in November walked away from the rehabilitation program and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was arrested by Reno City Marshals on that warrant on Nov. 26.
