CARSON CITY — The book signing and reception for the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine’s Greasewood Press’ “The Birthplace of Nevada Medicine: Carson City,” has been rescheduled for this coming Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sierra Surgery Hospital, 1400 Medical Pkwy.

This event was originally planned for Monday but canceled due to bad weather.

Authors Anton P. Sohn, M.D., and Richard G. Pugh will be on hand to sign copies of the book as will several physicians profiled in the publication.

“The Birthplace of Nevada Medicine: Carson City” describes individuals from 1855 through present day who have dedicated themselves to northern Nevada by relieving disease and suffering. This book is the latest in the Greasewood Press series on the History of Medicine which is known for recording the state’s medical history from frontier health care of the 19th century to the advent of modern medicine in Nevada.
