FALLON ––Their corn maze is finished for the season and farmer Rick Lattin, of Lattin Farms in Fallon, and family are giving it away.

On Dec. 12, visitors can come to the farm to harvest, shuck and grind as much corn as they can carry. This is the second year for the free event.

Several antique corn shellers and grinders will be available for use. The dried corn can be used for cooking and baking, bird seed or chicken feed.

The farm bakery and Growers' Market will be open during the event with a selection of baked goods and locally-grown winter produce for sale. Customers can place orders for holiday pies, breads and other desserts.

The Growers' Market will remain open 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday - Friday, through the holiday season.

For more information, call (866) 638-6293 or visit www.lattinfarms.com.

Lattin Farms is located at 1955 McLean Road in Fallon.
