Midnight Madness has become a popular Thanksgiving night/Black Friday tradition and tempts shoppers to begin holiday shopping at the stroke of midnight on Black Friday.
“The Midnight Madness concept originated at outlet centers several years ago, and has escalated into a highly anticipated experience across the United States,” said Lisa Bates, marketing consultant at Legends. “You will find family groups of shoppers fresh from the dinner table, mothers and daughters bonding and even a few people turning up in their pajamas.”
Beginning at 10 p.m. on Nov. 27, The Legends at Sparks Marina will host a “pre-madness party” with music, giveaways and a DJ to welcome eager shoppers and entertain them before the stores open at midnight. At 11:45 p.m., guests will have the opportunity to win one prize per minute during the final countdown. When the clock strikes midnight, the "mad dash" will commence, continuing until the sun comes up at 6 a.m. and throughout the day on Black Friday.
