Winter driving clinic and safety festival

RENO – A winter driving clinic and safety festival will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for new and experienced drivers.

Various exhibits will be on display, including maintaining control on snow and ice by Trooper Chuck Allen of the Nevada Department of Public Safety, crossing the pass safely by California Highway Patrol Officer Steve Skeen, installing chains by Les Schwab Tire Centers, what to do in the event of an accident by Steve Church, Champion Collision Center, winter driving on Nevada roads and highway by Meg Ragonese of the Nevada Highway Patrol and safe holiday driving with Allen.

The event will be sponsored by Champion Collision Center in cooperation with the Washoe County School District, the Nevada Department of Public Safety, the Nevada Department of Transportation, the California Highway Patrol and Les Schwab Tires.

The clinic will be held at Champion Collision Center at 2100 Automotive Way in Reno, off Kietzke Lane behind Champion Chevrolet.
