Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening on US 395 near Stephanie Way in Douglas County. The accident involved a tractor pulling a 53-foot trailer and a Chevrolet Suburban. The driver of the Suburban hit the rear of the trailer at a red light and became attached to the trailer as the big rig started to go forward. Both vehicles came to rest a short distance later.

The driver and passenger of the big rig were unhurt but the driver of the Suburban, Amber A. Wilson, 25 of Minden, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

The Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) is investigating the crash and witnesses or anyone with additional information should contact Trooper Kris Satterwhite at 689-4682 regarding case number NHP-0910151978.
