TRUCKEE, Calif. — A historical haunted tour of Truckee is scheduled for Oct. 21. Those attending can walk and learn of tales of the Old West, shootouts and Truckee’s haunted history. The tour starts with a glass of wine at the historic Kruger-White House, home to Trio Wine Bar and fabled phantoms. The evening will include four to five tours of

Truckee’s historic favorite places, including the old jail.

The Historical Haunted Tour of Truckee is a fundraiser for Trails and Vistas and Truckee Donner Historical Society. As a newly formed nonprofit, Trails and Vistas’ signature annual event is a celebration of the environment through the arts. Featuring poetry, music, dance and art amongst nature, Trails and Vistas strives to inspire individual participation in both artistic exploration and environmental stewardship. This year’s producers continue the unique collaboration of the producing nonprofit organizations including the Truckee Donner Land Trust, Arts For the Schools and InnerRhythms Dance Theatre.
