RENO – The Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce will offer a free Business Success seminar on energy efficiency for businesses. The Seminar takes place on Wednesday, Sept. 16 in the Chamber’s board room from 1 to 4 p.m. and is open to Chamber members only.

The Seminar will highlight the many low- to no-cost opportunities available to make businesses today increasingly energy efficient. Peter Milar, energy management specialist for the University of Nevada, Reno’s Nevada Small Business Development Center, will lead the discussion on how businesses can save both energy and money.

Investments in energy efficiency outperform almost all other investments available today, often achieving 30 to 200 percent simple return on investment. The methods for realizing greater energy efficiency will be highlighted, as will the Nevada Energy Rebate Program, which offers generous cash incentives for businesses undertaking energy efficiency projects.

“Businesses throughout Nevada are striving to go green and reduce costs,” stated Doug Kurkul, Chamber CEO. “Peter Milar has a wealth of experience, making this Seminar perfect for businesses of all sizes.”

Businesses who would like to attend the Seminar should call 337-3030, ext. 0.
