The Never Forget 911 Motorcycle Run is being held on Sept. 12. The event was started to raise money to help the families of fallen patriots and to remember the effects of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

The run begins at Cottonwood Park in Sparks, includes a police-escorted parade through downtown Sparks and Reno and ends back at Cottonwood Park. There will be live bands, vendors, a spaghetti feed, bounce castle for the kids, raffles, a silent auction, guest speakers, a demonstration from a color guard squad and much more. Last year’s run raised $15,000 to donate to this cause and with the trying times of the economy the support of the community is needed to do it again. The event organizer, Iron Nation Motorcycle Club, is down about 40 percent this year on donations. Any and all donations, whether they be monetary or raffles, would be greatly appreciated and greatly help the cause.

Everyone is welcome. This event is fun for the whole family. For any questions, e-mail ironnation@msn.com, call 424-0588 or visit www.iron-nation.org.
