Come watch the shelter dogs cool off with a pool party on Friday and Saturday between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. You can also enjoy cookies and ice-cold lemonade during the pool party.
Hundreds of wonderful dogs and cats await loving families. To make adoption more affordable, special adoption fees will be in effect: $10 for adult cats (4 months and older), $30 for adult dogs (4 months and older, excluding specially priced dogs) and kittens for $50 (singly or in pairs). All the animals are neutered, vaccinated and mircochipped before adoption.
Even if you are unable to adopt a pet, the many animals at the shelter would still love your companionship. Visitors are always welcome to spend time with the animals and provide them with the love and attention they crave.
The shelter, at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno, is open for adoptions every day from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. For more information, call 856-2000 or e-mail info@nevadahumanesociety.org.
