RENO — Support the lives of children in the community by participating in Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day, taking place today. In support of Renown Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), participating Dairy Queen (DQ) restaurants will donate the profits from each blizzard treat sold as part of their effort to support CMN.

Since 1984 DQ has raised $77 million to help save and improve the lives of children. All money raised at local DQ locations will stay in the Truckee Meadows community to help fund state-of-the-art equipment and provide support for pediatric services and education programs for children of all ages.

Participating DQ restaurants in the region include:

• 1501 Prater Way, Sparks

• 10390 N. McCarran Blvd., Reno

• 3198 Highway 50 East, Carson City

• 1750 Highway 395, Minden

The Children's Miracle Network mission is to generate funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children served by its associated hospitals, such as Renown Regional Medical Center. In northern Nevada, Renown is the only hospital associated with Children's Miracle Network. Renown Health's Children's Miracle Network supports important programs to keep children healthy and, for those sick or injured, ensures the best quality medical care.
