Nevada’s junior quarterback Colin Kaepernick (bottom photo) was named the Western Athletic Conference’s preseason offensive player of the year during the league’s summer media day session last month.
Both Quilici and Kaepernick were busy working out Friday afternoon in the Wolf Pack’s first official workout. Nevada, which was picked to finish second in the WAC’s preseason coaches and media polls, opens its season Sept. 5 at Notre Dame.
