RENO - Part of a high-end apartment complex under construction has been destroyed by fire.

Reno Fire Department spokesman Steve Frady says as many as 22 of 36 buildings that were either built or under construction at the development, called The Alexander at South Virginia, were destroyed in the overnight Wednesday fire.

Frady says it's not clear what started the blaze, which was first reported just before midnight Wednesday. He says because of the fire's size, it may take until next week to find a cause. He says it's too early to say whether it is suspicious.

The fire shut down U.S. 395 for a few hours overnight and destroyed a window on the first fire engine that responded.

No injuries were reported but a nearby trailer park was briefly evacuated.

There are more videos of the fire on Youtube. The fire was so hot you could not even smell the smoke. I am glad no one was hurt.
