RENO — A 50-year-old truck driver has pleaded not guilty to a charge of sexually assaulting a developmentally disabled girl he met at a Sparks park.

Richard Bunch of Wenatchee, Wash., awaits trial in February after entering the plea Wednesday to charges of luring a child and lewdness with a child.

Bunch also was charged Sept. 29 in connection with the April rape and robbery of a 20-year-old student at Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Wash.

In Nevada, Bunch is accused of sexually assaulting the 13-year-old girl after approaching her at the Sparks Marina in July and luring her into his semi-truck.

Police say he was tracked down through a subsequent cell phone call to the girl.

Sparks police say they provided a DNA sample from Bunch that matched the sample from the Lacey victim.

Bunch remains in the Washoe County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.
