Reno, Nev.- Rusty Ryal's first-inning grand slam put the Aces on top early, but Las Vegas came back to beat Reno 10-5 Sunday afternoon at Aces Ballpark in the final game before the Triple-A All-Star Break.

Ryal's grand slam capped a first-inning rally that saw Trent Oeltjen and Ryan Roberts open the game with back-to-back singles. After a strike-out, Josh Whitesell was hit by a pitch, before Ryal cleared the bases with his first grand slam of the year. Las Vegas chipped away the rest of the afternoon, eventually taking the lead in the fifth and holding on for the victory.

Reno starter Hector Ambriz settled for a no-decision, allowing five runs in 3.2 innings of work. Bryan Augenstein (2-5) worked one inning of relief and was tagged with the loss after giving up the eventual game-winning run.

The 51s used five pitchers to hold the Aces offense in check. After starter Davis Romero gave up five runs in 3.2 innings, Sean Stidfole (2-0) earned the win after throwing two shutout innings of relief.

In addition to Ryal's big day (2-for-4, 4 RBI), Roberts chipped in with a 3-for-5 performance. Abraham Nunez and Brandon Watson also added two hits for the Aces.

With the win, the 51s take a 6-5 lead in the Silver State Diamond Challenge with five games to play. After 16 games between Reno and Vegas, the losing city's mayor will be forced to wear the winning team's jersey to a City Council meeting, as well as donating money to the winning mayor's charity of choice.
