The Sierra Sundevils and Spanish Springs Bandits matched up in a summer baseball game Tuesday night at Spanish Springs High School. The Sundevils, a team composed largely of recently graduated seniors, captured a 10-6 triumph. The win helped the Sundevils stay perfect on their young season, improving to 8-0.

"Spanish Springs always does a great job against us and plays us tough. It wasn't a big inning or anything that helped us tonight as much as some timely hitting," Sundevils coach Nick Royle said. During the spring high school season, Royle is the varsity coach at Reed High.

In the adjacent photo, Bandits infielder Kendal Murphy throws to first during a sixth-inning double-play attempt.
