Free log flume rides Memorial Day Weekend at the Great Basin Adventure

RENO — Welcome summer fun by treating the kids to a free ride down the log flume at the Wilbur May Great Basin Adventure over Memorial Day Weekend. The family fun park will be open all three days and is offering one free log flume ride with each paid admission.

Kids will also enjoy riding the ponies, meeting the animals at Wilbur’s Ranch petting farm, learning about nature in the discovery room, and playing at the dinosaur playground.

Great Basin Adventure will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 23, 12 to 4 p.m. on May 24 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 25. Great Basin Adventure is located in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park at 1595 N. Sierra St. in Reno. Cost is $5; $4 for groups of 15 or more. Log rides and pony rides are $2 each. Admission and unlimited log ride wristband available for $10. For information, call 785-4844.

The Great Basin Adventure will also be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 30 and host the KNPB Fun Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m. on May 31.

Regular summer hours begin on June 4. Summer hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 12 to 4 p.m. on Sundays. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. General admission is $5; $4 for groups of 15 or more. Log rides and pony rides are $2 each. Unlimited log ride wristbands, which include admission, are available for $10.
