RENO — Learn how to reduce the risk of fire by identifying and removing flammable plants growing near homes during a free one-hour presentation by Ed Smith, western area natural resource specialist from the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, at 10 a.m. this Saturday at the Ranch House in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

Smith will also discuss how to protect houses that are in a high wildfire hazard environment.
