The dictionary is running out of adjectives to describe what the Sparks boys soccer team is doing to opponents this year.

After thumping Lowry, 9-0, Tuesday, the Railroaders obliterated Dayton, 11-0, Friday, on the road. Sparks outshot Dayton 44-5 and each of Dayton’s shots came from long distance.

“To get off the bus and be ready to play, that’s a tribute to them,” Sparks coach Frank Avilla said.

The Railroaders improved to 12-1, 11-1 in league games with the win.

Ruben Pacheco continued his dazzling senior season with four more goals. Jesus Partida scored twice and Edwin Navarro passed out five assists.

The Railroaders host Fernley Tuesday.
