RENO — The Reno Bike Project (RBP) is gearing up for its annual Burning Man Bike Extravaganza. This year, Reno Bike Project has fixed more than 400 bikes to be sold, with prices starting at $60 per bike. This is by far the best deal in Reno to get a bike suitable for the playa. RBP is also selling all the accoutrements needed for the playa, like lights, EL wire, baskets, bells and other trinkets to add some flair to these burner bikes.

Every year at Burning Man, hundreds of bikes are left on the playa. Burning Man collects these and gives them to Reno Bike Project, to be reused for the next year. Reno Bike Project refurbishes these bikes for another go at the playa. This reduces the waste from Burning Man, while also allowing access to low-cost transportation on the playa.

“Buying your Burning Man bike from Reno Bike Project is a trifecta of goodness” said RBP’s Executive Director Noah Silverman. “It is an opportunity to recycle, while getting a bicycle and supporting RBP.”
