In an effort to draw attention to the year-round need for food and other resources in the northern Nevada area, all four locations of Squeeze In restaurants are holding a food and hygiene item drive for Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and the St. Vincent’s Food Pantry programs.

During the month of August, Squeeze In will be collecting non-perishable food items, such as pasta, rice, canned food, boxed food and baby food, as well as travel-sized personal hygiene items, including shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, razors, feminine hygiene items and diapers. If you bring one of these items to one of four Squeeze In locations, you’ll get a free short stack of pancakes or a half order of biscuits and gravy on your next visit. Squeeze In has collection barrels inside their restaurant locations for donations.

There are four Squeeze In restaurants, the original in historic downtown Truckee Calif., two in Reno (northwest and south), and one in Sparks. All locations are open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day. For locations and hours, visit www.SqueezeIn.com. To learn more about Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada and the St. Vincent’s programs, visit www.ccsnn.org.
