RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Sparks woman is facing drunken driving and other charges after she was stopped in a closed-off highway construction zone.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says Sarah Ann Pannell, 28, was stopped on Pyramid Way just north of Interstate 80 a little after 9 a.m. Monday.

Authorities say besides driving on a suspended license and having an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Sparks Justice Court, Pannell failed field sobriety tests.

She was booked into the Washoe County Jail on charges of driving on a closed road, failure to reinstate a suspended license, first-offense DUI and failure to appear on a previous misdemeanor.
