(Author’s note: The following article was written prior to the quick work of the Boston police force in killing one suspect and capturing the other. All that remains now is to determine if it was domestic or foreign terrorism.)

Last week’s horrific bombing at the Boston Marathon once again brought home to our shores the threat that exists in the pursuit of worldwide terror.

The Boston incident reminded many commentators that it has been over seven months since the last American tragedy occurred in Benghazi. To date, we have little or no information on Benghazi. As a matter of fact, our new Secretary of State John Kerry was quizzed on it last week. He seemed to have adopted the thinking of his predecessor Hillary Clinton when he noted that the initial response given by Susan Rice was that she was relying on “talking points” that had been given to her. This brings to the forefront again the question of who the creative genius was that authored those “talking points.” Since no one at State has ever been removed or chastised for the incident, it seems that the curtain of secrecy has been drawn by the administration. While Clinton took full responsibility for what happened in Benghazi, even she was not publicly reprimanded.

Even before the Boston tragedy occurred, there was a growing effort both in Congress from Special Ops personnel and from the hard-charging Congressman Darryl Issa, for a select committee to be appointed to finally get to the bottom of the debacle of Benghazi.

Switching to the Boston incident, the FBI on Thursday of last week released photos and film on two young men they have identified as suspect #1 and suspect #2. The two were similarly dressed except for the fact that the first wore a black cap and the second wore a white cap. The baggage that each one of them carried seemed rather small when it came to containing a deadly explosive device. It was difficult to ascertain their ethnicity from the rather blurred images, but I am sure the FBI has ways to enhance the pictures.

If the pair were domestic terrorists, it is conceivable that by timing their exploit on April 15, tax day, they may have been staging a protest against escalating US taxes. This may seem a little far-fetched until we remember that the original tax protest was called the Boston Tea Party. On the other hand, if it turns out that it was foreign terrorism, there is a good chance that the youthful pair the FBI picked out were merely messengers for a far more insidious plot.

One thing that points to foreign terrorism is the method that was used in the bombing. It is the same scenario that occurs overseas when an IED goes off. The first blast is followed a few seconds later by a similar explosion that is aimed to injure as many of the fleeing victims as possible. What is also important to note is that the construction of the explosive devices themselves mirrors those used overseas.

Whatever the case may be, foreign or domestic, it is incumbent upon the authorities to act swiftly so that Boston does not become a lingering Benghazi.

Hard-charging Darryl Issa will get to the bottom of Benghazi just like he got to the bottom of Fast and Furious. He will put on a big show, grand stand as much as anyone can humanly tolerate, and come up with precisely what they know now. All at tax payer expense.

This is only a diversion from the real issues the Republicans don't want to deal with. They wet their pants when four die in Benghazi, yet are totally indifferent about the scores that die every day in America as a result of gun violence. Where is your righteous indignation about that?

And the only "commentators" making any kind of connection between Benghazi and Boston are on "Fox and Friends". Come on, now.

I think you guys in the media should stop elevating the scum brothers by referring to them as "Terrorist". I think their Uncle had them pegged right in an interview: LOSERS.
