RENO, Nev. (AP) _ Nevada State Bank says US Bank will take over its leases in Smith's grocery stores in Nevada come January.

The announcement Monday follows Nevada State Bank's successful bid to acquire the deposits and 13 branches of Henderson-based Silver State Bank, which was taken over by federal regulators on Sept. 5.

Dallas Haun, Nevada State Bank president, said the agreement is in line with his bank's mission to operate free-standing branches only.

Customer loans and deposits will not be affected, Haun said, and most employees will be given a chance to either relocate or interview for jobs with US Bank.
