RENO — Buckbean Brewing Company will hold its monthly dart tournament on April 8 at 6:30 p.m., with the Northern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross benefitting from the proceeds.

The entry fee for the double elimination tournament is $20 per player, and will be limited to the first 32 players to show up. Buckbean Brewing Company will donate to the Red Cross 25 percent of the buy-in and $1 from every pint sold. Lamppost Pizza will donate pizza for the event.

The Northern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross will use the donated proceeds locally to provide emergency assistance to families displaced due to home fires, floods, wildfires or other disasters.

Buckbean Brewing Company is located at 1155 S. Rock Blvd., Suite 490 in Reno. For more information, you may call them at 857-4444 or visit www.buckbeanbeer.com.

The Northern Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross has helped people mobilize to help their neighbors since 1898. Last year, in addition to the support provided to the victims of the Fernley Flood and Wells Earthquake, Red Cross provided emergency assistance and hope to 361 local residents when they lost their homes due to home fires. Over 700 Northern Nevada U.S. service members separated from their families by military duty received critical communications from their loved ones. Over 13,000 people were trained in lifesaving skills. The Red Cross is not a government agency; it relies on donations of time and money to do its work. For more information about volunteering, call 856-1000 or visit www.nevada.redcross.org.
