Over the past year, Ca$h Mobbers have lived up to their pledge to the support the “Shop Local First” ethos and help re-build our local economy by shopping and spending $10 to $20 or more on a specific day in a specific locally-owned area business each month. The effort has energized many and the result has been positive, measurable and a valued contribution to an economic recovery finally taking hold in our communities.
The celebration will include an “Art Mob” of Sierra Arts Gallery from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a “Mobbers’ Lunch” at the Wild River Grille. Sierra Arts has enlisted local artists to make works available for sale and Wild River Grille will contribute a lunch for four as a prize. Everyone who comes by and enters for free will have a chance to win. Businesses who have been “Ca$h Mobbed” over the year are also contributing prizes for the drawing.
Sierra Arts’ mission as a local arts agency is to be the region’s premier arts organization with an emphasis on teaching, nurturing and supporting the arts in our community. They have put out the call to local artists to show works for sale under $50 for the event. For more information on Sierra Arts, visit www.sierra-arts.org.
