Nevada Diabetes Association offers support meetings

RENO — The Nevada Diabetes Association (NDA) has two monthly support meetings. One is the Adult Diabetes Support Group (ADSG) and the other is the Diabetic Children and Family (DCAF) Support group. The meetings are held at the NDA office on 18 Stewart St. in Reno from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The ADSG meets every second Tuesday of the month. These meeting are here to educate and build a support network for diabetics, family and friends. Every month is a new topic ranging from diet and exercise to and open question and answer forum with an expert.

The DCAF meets every second Thursday of the month. These meetings are geared towards children who are diabetic and their families. Each month is a new topic that will help educate children and family on how to live with diabetes. This group also uses actives as part of the learning process.
