The suspect was arrested and booked into Jan Evans Detention Center after his attempt to flee from the police.
Police will not be releasing a name due to the suspect’s age and police believe that he was working alone.
Sparks Fire Investigators are looking at several other fires in Sparks over the past few months that could be related to this individual.
“We have had other trash can fires throughout the community throughout he past couple months,” Finley said.
