On Feb. 23 at 1 p.m., Santigo Lopez-Zaragoza was in the area of Oddie and El Rancho boulevards when he approached a female from behind, grabbed her by the hips and pressed his body against hers. The victim could tell the suspect was aroused, confronted him and Lopez-Zaragoza then left the area. The victim did not know Lopez-Zaragoza but had seen him in the same area several times before. Several days later the victim saw Lopez-Zaragoza again and was able to write down his license plate number and report him to authorities.
On Friday, Lopez-Zaragoza was located in Reno and arrested. Lopez-Zaragoza admitted to seeing the victim on several occasions and grabbing her from behind for sexual gratification. He was booked on one count of open and gross lewdness.
Sparks Police detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this crime or anything similar to contact Det. Mike Keating at 353-2225 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
