Free “Jump start your yard”

Join Sparks Urban Forester Michael Kelley for a series of free workshops designed to assist homeowners with proper tree care and yard maintenance. The first workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 at the Larry D. Johnson Community Center, 1200 12th St. Kelley and his staff will provide tips and hands-on instruction on starting up sprinkler systems for spring, fertilizing, spring pruning, and other things you need to know to get your landscape going.

Mark your calendar for upcoming workshops: Saturday, April 12: How to Build a Weed-less Garden. Saturday, May 17: Right Tree, Right Place
