It was another early morning for the Railroaders, arriving at school before 6 a.m. but that didn't take a toll on their performance against the Dust Devils.
Hector Hernandez started off the scoring in the 10th minute thanks to an assist by Kevin Partida.
Juan Hernandez made it a 2-0 game in the 22nd minute and Joseph Dominguez added a goal a minute later after having the prior assist. Hector Dominguez recorded back-to-back assists, including Daniel Chacon's goal to open the second half.
In the 64th minute, Alvaro Medina assisted on Luis Geisendorf's goal.
Chacon picked up his second goal in the 71st minute off a Partida helper. Geraldo Hernandez capped the scoring in the 75th minute when David Reyes picked up the assist.
"We played a lot of reserves today. We're gearing up and trying to get some non-starters playing time," Sparks boys soccer coach Frank Avilla said. "It looks like we have some good sets going with the kids, and they're really buying in."
Sparks is now 16-0 overall and 8-0 in league. The Railroaders will head to South Tahoe to face off against the Sierra League rival at 6 p.m. Thursday.
