Crime Stoppers of Nevada will recognize Metro detectives Jason Nelson and Sam Smith on Monday afternoon with the "Exceptional Service Award."
Nelson and Smith's efforts on the case led to the arrest of Anthony Carleo, who is serving 9 to 27 years for casino robberies including the December 2010 heist at the posh Bellagio resort.
KVVU-TV reports (bit.ly/RYn1kN) Metro Police credit the detectives with preventing a third robbery.
