The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority says Monday that about 3.4 million visitors came to Las Vegas in July. That's 0.8 percent down from the same month last year, when nearly 3.5 million people visited Sin City.
There were more guest rooms available this July, while citywide occupancy rates dropped slightly to 87 percent.
Average hotel rates were down 2.2 percent to $97 a night.
Clark County gambling revenues of $867 million were up year-over-year, with a 28 percent jump on the Las Vegas Strip and a 17 percent gain on the Boulder Strip.
Southern Nevada tourism is up 1.9 percent so far this year.
